Rideshare Assaults Shouldn't Be the Norm. LegalRideshare Makes Sure They Aren't.

Assaults during rideshare are on the rise, and there's no reason they should be.

Over the last year, assaults in the rideshare industry have painted it as a "proceed with caution" service instead of the "ease of use" it was intended to be. Consider the case involving an Oklahoma state senator accused of assaulting his Uber driver after allegedly kissing and groping the driver without her consent. On Wednesday, Whyy in Philadelphia reported that a female passenger was told to “uncross her legs" by her Uber driver. Searching Uber Assault into Google News, results show more stories about rideshare assaults than anyone ever wanted to read. Its gotten so bad, there's currently a class-action suit against Uber for this exact reason.

One law firm, LegalRideshare, spawned out of a need to stop these issues from happening. As the only law firm entirely dedicated to rideshare issues, they regularly handle cases related to rideshare safety. Harassment, unwanted touching and assault are more prevalent than could have ever been predicted.

It’s time to change the culture. It’s time to be heard.

LegalRideshare encourages victims to report injuries, harassment, unwanted touching and assault immediately to their lawyers. By reporting these incidents, the environment can change and this rampant behavior can come to an end.

If rideshare isn’t safe, it’s not viable. It's time to work towards a safer community.
